Hello, Forum Members,
Thanks for having this forum. I really got a lot out of it in only a few days.
About Me
I had multiple mental health issues that were addressed slowly yet reasonably well over decades. Not great, but good enough. Multiple tragedies and disasters occurred, including the death of my only child. I am fortunate to be married to a man who calls himself a “professional” husband and who loves me well.
As it understand it, only recently has it become possible to address core beliefs with anything resembling a systematic approach. I believe the therapists I worked with did the best they could at the time.
I’m in my third year doing Heartfulness Meditation and mostly happy. Although feeling a little aimless, I’m surviving pretty well. Now I want to thrive—write and make stuff, have adventures, live bigger, and have more fun.
I had a flashback on Saturday that was kicked off by accidentally arriving at the wrong campus for an all-day class. Horrifying, déjà-vu emotions (you are worthless and a loser). About 2% of me saw it happening and I decided to address it as soon as I could. After a day in bed on Saturday, I spent several hours on Sunday researching changing one’s core beliefs.
Eventually I found the PSTEC site and downloaded everything I could that was free.My Experience Using PSTEC
Monday was spent learning everything I could and listening to the basic pkg. I did a session on Tuesday (“I’m not good enough”) with both CTs. Amazing. I cried a lot. Then I felt better, and I still do.
It’s Wednesday now, and I spent probably an hour trying to figure out what to tap on, finally choosing “People aren’t interested in what I have to say,” which started off as a 5. I surprised myself by laughing a little when I heard Tim say my previous thoughts were a “confused and disordered mess” and ended up rating the emotion as a 1.Where I Am Now
Either I'm avoiding finding trouble inside, or less remains than I think there is.
In fact, I am delighted with the results I experienced with PSTEC and want to take next steps.
While doing that, I’m prepared to deal with hard, bad stuff by moving toward it and dealing with it gently and firmly when it arises to my awareness, as it did on Saturday. (Today I am edgy, for example, about being judged, even scorned, for this post, and I'm doing crazy amounts of editing, so I definitely know what tomorrow's topic will be. :)
Still, I feel as if I’m on the edge of neutralizing the really crippling bad stuff and ready to explore what actual thriving feels like.
Any suggestions for what to do next with PSTEC?Thanks for having this forum. I normally don't use forums, but this one feels different from others I've looked at.

Thanks very much for taking the time to post.
I appreciate your kind words.
I am sorry you have experienced so many tragedies in your life, and I am delighted you found this technology…because it will help you shift things in a profound way.
You can do all of this with the free tracks, CTing as you go, but I highly recommend acquiring at least one of the belief-elimination packages too. They're invaluable.
There are two sets:
PSTEC Negative (http://bit.ly/pstecnegative)
PSTEC Belief Blasters (http://bit.ly/beliefblasters)Due to their sheer simplicity in use, I'd recommend Belief Blasters. You can certainly hunt out the emotions and CT them, but the specialised belief-elimination packages make this much more efficient.
Eliminating beliefs tends to make everything else easier.
The following beliefs would be worth “checking in with” (say them out loud and see if they resonate):
– “I am a loser”
– “I am worthless”
– “Life is unfair”
– “Life is cruel”
– “Everything is my fault”
– “I'm not OK”
– “I'll never get what I want”
– “I'll never be truly happy”
– “I'm not good enough”
– “I'm not important”If you do use Belief Blasters, you would just need to put the belief statement into the past tense, try hard to believe it and…blast it away.
Clearing beliefs like this would have a tremendous impact on your life. If you're unable to acquire these partucular tools, then you can still get a handle on this. Just CT the emotions that are linked to your traumatic memories, any unwanted feelings you have in the moment or any unwanted feelings that show up when you think about the future.
I hope thisis helpful, Fran. Please keep us updated, as we can certainly dialogue about this.
Kind Regards,
Paul

A recommendation would be go back to this
> “Multiple tragedies and disasters occurred, including the death of my only child.”And neutralize them. I suspect the loss of your child would be the item you would want to clear first. Memories and feelings of upset, anger (at the situation and yourself), grief, guilt, loss etc. Be sure to get this down to an absolute zero.
We tend to carry around a tremendous amount of grief. Often times, a lifetime of it. It's no surprise that unresolved grief can make a person think and act “crazy”.
If you choose to invest in any paid tracks, a suggestion would be to purchase belief blasters and positive quantum turbo. Belief blasters can be used to eliminate the beliefs Paul has mentioned. We can also provide some suggestions for PQT that can help make your work even more successful.
Keep going. You are doing great and your success will be inevitable if you stick with it.
June 21, 2019 at 12:21 am#26595Frances PonickPSTEC UserDear Brian and Paul,
I checked out both PSTEC Negative – The Belief Eraser (2014, $49) and Belief Blasters (2017, $39). Given that Tim continually improves products, it looks as if BB is the way to go. I also like that the products both of you recommended require no tapping, as my fingers are sometimes tender b/c of arthritis.
My plan is to purchase BB and perhaps alternate it with the free Click Tracks in daily sessions. I'll keep notes and evaluate progress with regard to adding Positive Quantum Turbo in a month or so. Make sense?
Paul, I should let you know that my husband and I were in marriage and grief counseling for five years after our daughter died, and then I continued for another year on my own. Not that all is well every minute. One doesn't recover from an event like that as much as learn how to manage it. That's not always successful, either, so I take your suggestions to heart and look forward to reinvesting the phenomenal surge of energy that opens up when grief does—and which reinvestment has not happened yet. (Meaning I may be functional but I am not yet flowing. :-X )
Thank you both for your helpful responses. One of the hard, sad facts of mental illness is a lowered capacity to earn, and I sincerely appreciate your sensitivity to the fact that not everyone can afford to purchase items. The low-key approaches to offering items for sale on the PSTEC websites are a standout in an otherwise hard-sell industry.
Warm regards,
Fran
July 11, 2019 at 5:16 pm#26596Frances PonickPSTEC UserHi, Paul and Brian,
I've been using the free Click Tracks and Belief Blasters, and I'm happy to report that I feel calmer and more peaceful than before I started. I was even able to write a couple of news commentaries and post them online. They were received well (1000+ hits each!) … but I still felt like an imposter.
That feeling and others tell me there's more damage underneath. Yet my bad feelings, while arising in fleeting moments throughout the day, are as elusive as shadows when it's time to do Click Tracks. I spent years in deep depression, so please understand that I am not complaining! I just know there's more work to do, and my hidden-inside self is not as eager to do it as my conscious self is.
Here's what's happening:
Even though I'm having truly life-giving results, it can take over an hour to settle in and get a session started. I see resistance manifesting as indecision. (Inner monologue example: “Which feeling is the worst? What core belief is that about? There are so many! I want to be efficient … Maybe I should look at the list again. Or check Tim’s directions again. Just to be sure.”)
This pattern got worse after the first couple of successful sessions(!), and then I started giving myself excuses not to do more—(“Feeling fine now. Takes too much time!”)—so transparent they’re almost comical! :
My original plan was to follow your advice: use Click Tracks, then Belief Blasters, and then Positive Quantum Turbo, which I had planned to purchase in a couple of weeks.
I noticed that the pain sometimes reveals itself when I'm using the Belief Blasters, even if I skip Click Tracks because nothing comes up to tap on. (Pain includes shame, guilt, grief, feelings of worthlessness.)
I want do daily sessions. I think it would be easier to work my way through negative core beliefs and replace them rather than first searching for the bad feelings they bring.
Here's my question:
Is it reasonable to skip the Click Tracks and move straight to a Belief Blaster? Then if pain arises, could I go back to a Click Track to clear the pain? If yes, would you recommend that I resume the Belief Blaster where I was or start it over?
Thanks for your advice!
Warm regards,
Fran
July 15, 2019 at 11:08 am#26597Paul McCabePSTEC Pro and Forum ModeratorHi Fran,
Thanks for your messages. My apologies for the late reply.
You can absolutely start with Belief Blasters, as you already have experience with the Click Tracks.
It's not necessarily either/or, as all the tracks work synergistically and in isolation.
The great thing is: you don't have to figure it all out. Just engage with the tracks and your sub will work for you.
Another approach is simply to CT the feelings of resistance and that strong desire to be perfect.
Some big beliefs that tend to stop people from going “all in” with PSTEC include:
“Change takes too long”
“It's too difficult”
“I am unhelpable”
“I have to do it perfectly”Those (as well as the feelings linked to it) can be blasted.
So, yes, I think your approach of doing BB and then referring back to the CTs would be very effective.
Hope that helps. Please keep us updated, Fran.
Best Regards,
Paul

July 17, 2019 at 4:34 pm#26598Frances PonickPSTEC UserHi, Paul,
Thank you for your sensitive reading of my state of mind.
I love that I don't have to figure everything out, although I must admit that part of the challenge is trusting what appears to be a somewhat random process. I'm taking some steps to sort it out while still allowing for spontaneity and impulse.
Recently I purchased PQT, so now I'm working with Click Tracks, Belief Blasters, and PQT. I use CT for just plain misery—for times when accessing or even guessing beliefs of any kind is just too hard—as many times as needed to remove jagged edges and at least feel neutral, and I'm experimenting with the other two.
At first I just wrote a few notes or nothing at all. Lately I've begun to track the basics, meaning just the date, whatever tool I've used, the phases or action (tapping, for example), and thoughts that come to mind when the session is done.
Meditation has taught me that small, steady effort is best for me (even though I always want instant action—oh well!). I'm aiming at daily sessions of no longer than 30 minutes. Not there yet, but they will come if I'm nice to myself and don't scold or cajole.
BTW, I'd have to say that figuring out how to be genuinely kind to oneself can be very hard to do, yet it's well worth the effort. Lots more to say, but I'll save it for another time—the short version is that I discovered that, like meditation, it's a habit one acquires. If you let it, each failure can become an opportunity to try again. The big success? When you can resume your efforts to be nice to yourself without first stopping to yell at yourself for screwing up! :
Warm regards,
Fran
PS I was born in Dublin. My father was born in Galway and spent time in Belfast as a small boy. Talking about his childhood one time, he mentioned that he and his sisters used to sleep under the bed, because soldiers would drive through the streets at night shooting through upstairs windows. Even in his nineties, he remembered sleeping under the bed in Belfast at that time as nothing special, but rather simple common sense. It's amazing what people can get used to in order to survive, isn't it?July 25, 2019 at 11:25 am#26599Paul McCabePSTEC Pro and Forum ModeratorHi Fran,
Thanks for your post and sorry for the late reply.
It's good that you're taking such a systematic approach.
Hope it's going well, so please keep us updated.
It is amazing what children pick up subconsciously and your father, being raised in Belfast at a time of conflict, would have been impacted. If you grow up and feel unsafe or threatened, that goes right into the mind model.
Would your father be open to using this technology too?
Kind Regards,
Paul

July 26, 2019 at 6:12 pm#26600Frances PonickPSTEC UserHi, Paul,
Both of my parents are dead, my mother in 2008, and my dad in 2009. If they were alive (or is PSTEC was available at the time), I pretty sure I could have persuaded them to try it out.
The more time goes by, the more I realize how harrowing their lives must have been and how that affected their four children's lives.
My best revenge is gathering up their goodness as fuel for my own efforts—and dispelling the misery they inadvertently bequeathed because of the difficulties they themselves endured.I'm finally getting into the rhythm of daily PSTEC. Just to keep you up to date, here are my notes from the past two days:
7/24/19
Getting tired around midday for years. Today tried resting, but even tireder. Possibly late morning and early afternoon tired could be protecting myself from bad feelings in subcon? “Unworthy” comes to mind.
1. Click-tracks #1 & 2 on “unworthy”
2. Did PQT short – “It is safe to move ahead” (which came to me during second CT)
4. Then did short relaxation.Feeling much better.
I may not have generated all the unworthy feelings. I have decided that doesn’t matter, as I sense that if there are more, they are very powerful and very deep. I will allow them to arise, even every day for a while if necessary, and dissolve them when I perceive them. Probably a good way to address other negative emotions also.7/25/19
“It’s safe to feel confident”
PQT Short X2
(Not quite ready for BE confident, but FEEL confident was a good fit7/26/19
Not sure what I'll work on today. My motto is “No Forcing” — but find myself floating and avoiding. It's as if I have a habit of feeling ineffectual and am getting ready to try on bigger things. Wanting the tipping point, sidling up to success, not actually afraid (at least I don't think I am), but still very, very cautious.I know I can't hurt myself with PSTEC (GOOD!)
May try some “what if” phrases with PQT. Your thoughts?
Thanks, Paul!
Fran
July 27, 2019 at 6:02 pm#26601Paul McCabePSTEC Pro and Forum ModeratorHi Fran,
Thanks for your post.
I am very sorry for your loss and apologies if my post triggered any sadness. To have lost both of your parents so close together will have been deeply traumatic.
What you could do is CT any bad feelings you have about your parents' upbringing or personal history. If you know any details of what they experienced and you feel sad, for instance, you can CT that.
You could also BB any beliefs you imagine they may have formed (e.g. “life is a struggle”, “the world is a dangerous place”).
Based on what you wrote, you may also wish to check in with and BB the following beliefs:
– “I was ineffectual”
– “I was not worthy”
– “I had to avoid change”
– “Change was difficult”
– “I had to be cautious”As for the “what if” statements for PQT, could you elaborate on what you mean, please? Do you mean a suggestion like “what if it was time to feel good..”? If you could provide an example, I will understand it better.
Thanks for your updates.
I look forward to your reply.
Kind Regards,
Paul
