    Hi Fran,

    Thanks for your post.

I am very sorry for your loss and apologies if my post triggered any sadness. To have lost both of your parents so close together will have been deeply traumatic.

What you could do is CT any bad feelings you have about your parents' upbringing or personal history. If you know any details of what they experienced and you feel sad, for instance, you can CT that.

You could also BB any beliefs you imagine they may have formed (e.g. “life is a struggle”, “the world is a dangerous place”).

Based on what you wrote, you may also wish to check in with and BB the following beliefs:

    – “I was ineffectual”
    – “I was not worthy”
    – “I had to avoid change”
    – “Change was difficult”
    – “I had to be cautious”

As for the “what if” statements for PQT, could you elaborate on what you mean, please? Do you mean a suggestion like “what if it was time to feel good..”? If you could provide an example, I will understand it better.

    Thanks for your updates.

I look forward to your reply.

    Kind Regards,

    Paul  :)
