Just wanted to say I can totally identify with what you describe, Im not in that situation now so it doesnt arise any more. One trick I found helpful was when put on the spot, say to introduce mysel,f would be to breathe in and to breathe out as I started to speak – and to think of a different way to say my name to try to break the anxiety pattern – this did help. if you could put yourself in the situation that causes anxiety and then when you have the feeling make an excuse and go to the loo or your car and do the click track when you're feeling the feeling/emotion, that would work best I think. I think its about humiliation or fear of being humiliated and I cant find a memory or experience for it either.
