Hi I have Social Anxiety Disorder and suffer from Panic Attacks. I have been using PSTEC for about a week and have been careful to follow the instructions on Tims track for PSTEC for people who suffer from panic attacks. I have been focusing on memories and thoughts (not as much feelings as Tim says to do). I know that I have numerous issues that relate to my social anxiety and panic attacks so the memories that I have thought about while using the click tracks relate to several different issues and I am wondering if I should just focus on one issue and just use memories that relate to that issue. In short, I am a little confused because I have noticed a lot more positivity in my thoughts (hugely), however, my anxiety has almost seemed to increase if this makes sense? A part of me wonders if this is because of the fact that I have been focusing on so many issues (as stated above) or that the core issue that I have (a huge mental block about how negatively I thinnk and feel about myself to the point where that is all I know anymore) is just too difficult to confront. I was also thinking that maybe my anxiety has been heightened because of the change and everyone who suffers from anxiety knows that change is the most feared thing for us? Just looking for some help if there is any out there? Thanks so much for amy replys

First of all, excellent work thus far already although you have been only at it a week or so. I appreciate you noticing the communication coming through to you as I will show you in my response.
I believe it will only take a short time for you to begin to trust yourself and then you will see your progress increase.
Let me show you your fine work thus far in beginning to know yourself and, therefore, discovering how to transcend these issues…
- “I know that I have numerous issues that relate to my social anxiety and panic attacks”
Very astute… this is one reason panic attacks can be a bit tricky. They, quite often, are the result of many issues that are being harbored and so this is one way the subconscious (sub) will “protect you” as determined by your mind model.
- “the memories that I have thought about while using the click tracks relate to several different issues”
Very good… you are obviously very open to the sub's communication and that is one of the tougher challenges presented… that is, knowing what to target with PSTEC.
- “I am wondering if I should just focus on one issue and just use memories that relate to that issue.”
Bingo!!! Proof positive that the answers are right there with you… hey, what do you need me for?
When you focus on the issues and/or the emotions and feelings that come up, just get quiet and listen and when the thoughts come about memories/imagined events, just take each memory that comes up, pair it up with the feeling and use those two things as you turn on the Click Track!
Very good!
- “I have noticed a lot more positivity in my thoughts (hugely)”
This IS HUGE because as you are consciously noticing this (oh, and be sure to notice those subtle ones as well), then the sub takes notice too and begins to listen more and more to you and will “get the message” that the positive or as I like to call J.E.E.P. thoughts come, those are important!!!
So, keep noticing!!!
- “my anxiety has almost seemed to increase”
Now, this may seem to be a “bad” thing, but it's not. As you said, it could be fear of change, fear of feeling good because maybe you're not worthy or it's not prudent.
But, you know what is important here? Not to try and figure it out… there is no analysis necessary!
In fact, everything you wrote after, “A part of me wonders…” is probably not relevant.
The wondering and thinking, for the most part, comes from your current mind model that is causing these issues in the first place.
So, use your conscious will to just notice those thoughts coming through and then look for the non-JEEP feelings and when they come, focus on the feeling and notice the memories that come up; then pair those with the feeling, one at a time and run the Click Track on them.
If the feelings heighten, get quiet, you will be ok (and be aware of your physical safety of course)… allow your sub to tell you what's behind those feelings. The answers are what you will target with your PSTEC!
- Feeling non-JEEP? Get quiet and allow the answer to come through about the source of those feelings and run the Click Tracks
- Feeling JEEP? Again, get quiet and when inspired about taking action, do it and enjoy it.
- If non-JEEP pops up, go back to #1.
Remember, K.I.S.S. (keep it simple sweetheart)…
August 21, 2011 at 4:02 am#22532Victoria JohnstonPSTEC UserThanks Jeff, this was very helpful. One more question, I had the most success with using the click track while thinking (just my general belief) about how I think of everyone as being better than I am and being unworthy in general (wow, real progress, of course it has begun to fade since not continuing on this particular belief). I just thought of several different people and thought about how incompetent and unworthy I feel being in their presence. Of course working on this belief was what brought me the discomfort. Should I continue working on this? Or is their a better way around this? If I do continue to work on this belief, will it actually get to the root of the problem or just change the belief/tjought process?
Thanks again Jeff,
The temporary changes I did feel have led me to believe that PSTEC is magic. I have tried Hypnotherapy, CBT, and EFT and nothing has even come close to what I have felt with this.

If you notice, based upon what you are writing, you are not “just” thinking about your general belief. Here's what you said, “I just thought of several different people and thought about how incompetent and unworthy I feel being in their presence.”
So, in effect there, you are thinking of specific memories of someone “making” you feel a certain way or believe a certain way in terms of what they feel is the truth for you and to some extent, you took their word for it.
You see?
The root of the problem… or the cause or source… can actually be more than one “thing.” It appears that you are working through the emotional issues quite well, so, yes, continue. When thoughts/memories/imagined events come up and there is emotion coupled with them; take each memory and run them with the Click Track.
In other words, if you feel non-JEEP, get our your Click Tracks.
You may have to do that with several memories and, sometimes, run the Click Track several times just on a particular memory… it just depends how strong the emotional attachment is for that memory or thought.
Ok, one added tool that will be helpful…
You mentioned beliefs, but also mentioned emotional issues. For PSTEC work, use your conscious mind to begin to know the difference between the two because two different tools are best for these two different issues.
Emotional issues –> Best Tool: Click Tracks or EEF's
Beliefs and Behaviors –> Best Tool: PSTEC Positive Tracks (PP)So, when we use PP for belief issues, we are, in effect, making suggestions to the subconscious about a new belief that carries us in the opposite direction of our previous belief.
If you have emotional issues AND belief issues that are at the source of your problems, then just handling the emotional issues and not really addressing the belief issues will, many times, create an environment where you find yourself with a temporary solution.
Well, it's not that the problem left and returned, it's that the problem was never completely solved and like a burning ember in the forest after a fire, it could become a blazing hot fire once again.
So, begin to become excellent at using PP… be sure to listen to the Success and PP Tutorial that is a part of Success and PSTEC Positive and also part of the Level 1 package.
Aloha!
