Hi,

I have one question. Maybe somebody already answered it but I didn't saw it so far. It is about proper way of using the PSTEC.

If I understand correctly one should focus on the problem memory or memory that has bad feelings attached to if, focus also on this feelings that arrise (even this is giving me problems because my mind want's to think about something else) and also focus on the clicks itself. What I'm asking is should you focus on every click sound that you hear to that you follow each click you hear exactly with you fingers or do you just focus on when to change hands and change the speed of the tapping. Because I can tap on clicks without really focusing on them because for every hand the clicks have the same patern (for every hand speed of the click is known) so I really don't need to focus on the clicks it self, just when to change hands. This is something I don't know in advance – maybe some transitions from one hand to the other but even this not always. Is this making the PSTEC not work efficiently for me? Because I see slow progress with them so I bought Accelerators also. I'm trying now with them but this is only a few days so I can't really report a big change in success yet. I hope somebody can give me good advice on how to really work with the click tracks. I re-listened to the introduction but from that I can't figure out what is important here. Because Tim says you can learn the click but does he mean the entire pattern of changing hands? Or already how to follow each click?

Thanks,

Borut

Hi Borut,

Thanks for writing… this will be helpful to many and is not that uncommon… so, let's see if we can help you get “on track.”

Oh, first of all, realize that you are training your mind (specifically the subconscious) to operate a bit differently, so be patient as you go through these changes.  That, in my opinion, is the source of our resistance… not letting go of the old ways.

Let me address some parts of your question that may help give you a little better understanding in how to use your PSTEC Click Tracks…

• “even this is giving me problems because my mind want's to think about something else”… PSTEC is not “easy” per se… it does take concentration and may be a bit tiring as a result, but, again, as you work more and more with it, you will find yourself getting better and better and being able to work with PSTEC with less effort.  So, do the best you can when focusing as Tim tells you.

If your mind wanders, just gently bring it back… train it to follow your conscious directions.

• “What I'm asking is should you focus on every click sound that you hear”…

Well, first of all it depends which Click Track you are using because you will notice that each Click Track has a little different instructions in terms of which hand respond to which click or tone.

o For each click and tone, you are TAPPING your fingers.  You don't necessarily have to “listen” to each click and tone, but, as the instructions state at the beginning, you tap with the appropriate hand during the click or tone.  In between the clicks and tones, you simply stop.  That's all.

o There are two click beat tracks and a tone track in every audio, but the tapping varies depending upon the particular audio file.

Let’s take the Click Track 01 (file name “PSTecFile01”) as an example…

•
1. There is the first, faster click beat track and Tim says tap with the fingers of the right hand along with the rhythm of the clicking WHILE THE CLICKS ARE PLAYED.  When they stop, you stop or if they transition to another type of click or the tone, then you switch hands and rhythms according to the instructions.
2. There is a second, slower click beat track and Tim says tap along with the fingers of the left hand along with the rhythm of the clicking… do it in the similar way as #1 above.
3. There is a tone and when you hear that, you tap with BOTH hands as rapidly as you can.

Again, when it comes to tapping with your individual hands and the speed of the tapping, they correspond the same.  In other words, when you tap with either hand singly, you tap in rhythm or in time with the clicks and tones.  When you are tapping with both hands, tap them rapidly together; as fast as you can.

o Remember, just do the best you can in terms of the tapping… if you miss, don't worry… YOU WILL NOT GET THE TAPPING PERFECT; you don't want to.

o Be sure you are focusing as he says in the audio on the feelings and the problem memory.  Don't worry about understanding what he is saying; just focus on trying to hand on to the feeling and the memory.

4.
If you are not getting the results you desire, it is a matter of targeting the PSTEC Click Tracks and also sorting out the thoughts, feelings, beliefs, etc.

You would want to consider chatting with a practitioner to help guide you at least for a bit… you can find one at the PSTEC Registry.

Aloha!

Hi Jeff,

thank you very much for your answer and help. I it much clearer now. I will try a few more days on my own but maybe I will have to seek for some help because I saw that with one problem (I don't feel loved, my self-esteem is getting lower and lower) I'm not getting the results I would like to. I'm to needy of love from others and to needy of approval and appreciation. My self-image is not really strong and using the PSTEC positive didn't do much. Maybe I have to give it more time. So a week or two and probably I should see some results.

Thanks again and enjoy,

Borut

Hi Borut,

You're always welcome, Borut.

There may be two main issues in using PSTEC for you… difficult to know just from your postings though…

1. The PSTEC Positive (PP) may not be the right tool in the right time for you… quite often people are wanting to go to PP asap and without the emotion being more subdued, then PP is not always effective.

*  The best use of PP is in conjunction with the Click Tracks (CT) because as you use PP, emotional barriers will come up, so then you pull out the CT and handle the emotional issues… then, it's back to PP.

2. Just a matter of targeting.  If the CT and PP are not well targeted, then shift and changes are not happening.  This is where guidance can be helpful.
3. Sometimes we fear going a little deeper… have no fear of it, but if you do, again, some guidance may help.
4.
Sometimes we just need a little help…a little nudge… someone to gently take our head and turn it ever so slightly and we see an alternate path we can take.

Not someone, mind you, that will lead you along on a tether because then we give up our creativity, choice of Life… we basically give up the joy of discovery and experience … and that's what PSTEC is all about.  It's about finding YOUR WAY… and you will.

The issues of self-esteem and not feeling loved are quite general and usually take some time, so be patient and gentle with yourself and you will be surprised with how quickly you transcend such challenges.

Infinite patience brings immediate results.

Aloha!

Hi again,

one more question. I was listening to some audio resources and there was one interview where Tim added his comment about not using the reminder phrase. My question is – when you focus on the thought or memory what do you focus on actual? Only on the picture of what happened? Or can you also focus on the words that were said at that specific even? Because some events have a lot of words with it :) So it got me thinking what really means focus on thought – because my thought can be I'm no good enough, I can't make it happen, I'm not as good as anybody else. Can you focus on this as well or not?

Thanks and have a great day,

Borut

Hi Borut,

Ah, thoughts… they can mean very different things.

We are looking at thoughts as representations.  They are representations of what our current Mind Model is that is created and protected by the subconscious.

So, thoughts can be movies or videos of past memories or future imagined events. They can be pictures of someone’s expression or body language.  Also, it can be something we feel or experience with our body.  It can also be something someone said to us.  And, of course, there are an infinite number of possibilities.

What is important and makes your personal work easy is to LISTEN.  Get QUIET and LISTEN to your subconscious for the thoughts…  aka: communication … about what’s going on in there!

Very important:  You will go much farther and quicker when you pair up BOTH memories/imagined events AND emotions/feelings.
With that said, here are some answer about your two particular questions…

• Tim added his comment about not using the reminder phrase…

I believe you are referring to the PSTEC Interview with Estelle where Tim added a little audio comment in the middle for a few minutes.

Absolutely!  DO NOT use reminder phrases as that may enforce the disempowering issue that you are attempting to transcend in the first place because as you use the Click Tracks, it is allowing you to shift and let go of the emotional issues your subconscious (sub) is “attached” to while at the same time there are suggestions going through to the sub to allow you to transcend the issues you are focusing on and when you repeat reminder phrases, those can become suggestions to your sub as well!!!  Yikes!

As Tim mentioned in that interview, you can PERHAPS use a one word reminder to keep you focused on that emotion/feeling, but, again, be careful not to use phrases that will communication to your sub the reinforcement of that issue.

• Or can you also focus on the words that were said at that specific even?

Once again, DO NOT use phrases like that!!

• So, what do you do when these phrases or “self talk” goes on as you said here,“my thought can be I'm no good enough, I can't make it happen, I'm not as good as anybody else?  Can you focus on this as well or not?”
Once again… DO NOT focus on that phrase, but here’s what you do.If we get QUIET and LISTEN and ask the right questions, we can find the source of those statements.

So, let’s suppose you find that the statement (for example: You’re not good enough) or something like it was repeated for years from your teacher… or you may find many people saying similar things to you.

Here is one way you handle this with the Click Tracks…Focus on your teacher that said it… the memory you have… while holding onto the feelings that come up and run the click track.

You see, you are not repeating a phrase, but allowing the past experience that the sub is holding onto to justify FEELING that you are not worthy and then running the Click Tracks on that.

We don’t come up with these conclusions that are disempowering for nothing.

We learned them from something, someone or somewhere.

Now, use of the Accelerators can help to speed this up because they will help to encourage your sub to reveal more and more of the sources of the various issues you have so that you can target them and zap them with the CT.

•

Keep discovering… keep allowing those thoughts… the communication from your sub…  to come through and then keep on clickin’!

Aloha

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

wow :) Thanks for taking the time to explain all of this. I must say that things are getting more and more clear for me. To be honest I still didn't get the results I was expecting but nevertheless I feel that PSTEC is the answer and I'm using it together with self-image reprogramming as explained by Maxwell Maltz. I think that this two go great together. So I will keep on doing the process and If nothing big will happen then I will schedule a private hours with you or somebody else from the register.

Thanks again and have a great day,

Borut

You're always welcome.

Ah, excellent resource… Mr. Maltz!

Would love to hear how you get along with combining the two.  I know Dixie did some work using some visual representations of her desires (a suggestion from Meghan) and used the PSTEC Positive Tracks while visioning with her desires.

You can find it somewhere on this forum.

Take care… keep clickin'… Aloha!

Hi,

I find his books really interesting. I'm currently re-reading the book again and again to really get understand the book and the process. I will post how I'm doing combining the two. I also remember reading on the forum about pstec positive and visualizing the goals. I think it will be good do dog this up. But I must first clear the blocks because when I tried to visualize one of my goals or let say one new habit that I would like to have and I felt strange resistance to this new habit – when I started visualizing it was like my sub said “no no, this is not you”. I started visualizing how I wanted to react next time in one specific area and after very short period of time I felt something in my stomach and chest area – around the heart. So this got me wondering that maybe there is not resistance directly connected to the issue (because I did a lot of clicking directly linked to the issue and not much progress there ) so then I moved to self-confidence and self-worth in general. I felt that I'm not worthy or good enough as the rest so when ever I thought about this new habit I got this feeling that I can't be like that. So with the help of Mr. Maltz I'm slowly discovering the stuff “beneath” :)

So I will report how I will progress :)

Thanks again for your time and your kind words.

Enjoy the day,

Borut

Aloha Borut!

Very nice… keep up the experimentation; that's where the gems are discovered.

Excellent work (play?) in paying attention to the resistance popping up… that is the communication from the subconscious and comes in various forms, so when we suggestion or especially try to take action on something that is just not in harmony with the sub, trouble ensues and we either force our way through (and bring pain along the path with us) or find ourselves sabotaging and not manifesting those desires because we feel “we are beating our head against the wall.”

So, as I said, good job in noticing the resistance… so, just follow the feelings that come to the source or cause… clear it up… move forward once again!

Love to hear from you on your journey!

A Hui Hou!
